1/600 - 1/700 Resin and Photo-Etched details

Recently Keith Butterley and myself have had the following WEM detail sets come our way. Those that Keith received are from their 1/600 Profiessional range, while mine are from teh 1/700 Professional range. Both lines feature the usual high quality WEM resin and finely etched PE.

Keith has this to say on the 1/600 line "I have recently received for the Airfix Belfast the following resin parts, twin QF 4" mounts, 8-barrelled pom-poms, 4-barrelled pom-poms and .5 quad mg's. All are from White Ensign Model's 600 Professional range. They can be used on any WWII Royal Navy ship. These parts are of high quality and will definitely enhance your kit. "

HMS Belfast
1/600 Photo-Etched detail sheet

Designed by Peter Hall for the Airfix 1/600 HMS Belfast kit, this sheet features all the builder needs to update the venerable old kit. Some of the details included are: 4 and 8 barrelled pom-poms, catapult, rails, cranes, radar, hatch and door covers.

Twin 20mm Powered AA mounts

A new addition to their 1/700 line is this set of powered 20mm Oerlikon mounting. These were also later modifeid to carry a single 40mm Bofors and called the Boffin. Conversions to same should be easy enough for those so inclined.

The set consists of 10 resin 'cabs' as well as PE 20mm Oerlikons.

40mm Twin, Single and Quad Bofors Details
WEM PE 735

An interesting set is this one which contains photo-etched details for upgrading various resin and injection 40mm Bofors mounts. Included are new rails for twin and quad mounts, as well as platforms for various singles. One item I am pleased to see are the rails and radar for the Hazemeyer mount.
