FCM Decal Releases
By Michael Benolkin
FCM has released four new sets of decals that span a number of scales and topics:
This set provides another colorful British Airways aircraft, in this case an Airbus A319/A320, commemorating the Chatham Historic Dockyard. A second Airbus, an A310 from Air Plus is part of the set and features a colorful scheme. Two Fokker F-27s round out this set, one from Brasil Central, and the other of Eagle Canyon. As with previous FCM offerings, a set of full-color profiles is included in the set to aid with painting and decal placement.
Set 144-16 1/144 Airliners
Set 72-12 1/72 Brazilian Military Aviation
markings. A Westland Lynx Mk.21 of AH-1 Sqn, circa 1999, in the standard Brazilian Navy scheme is provided with its appropriate markings and stencils. Rounding out the set is a Lockheed C-130H Hercules from Gordo Sqn, circa 1998, retaining the standard USAF SEA paint scheme. A set of full-color profiles is included in the set to aid with painting and decal placement.
Set 48-12 1/48 Brazilian Military Aviation
This set is identical to the set above with the exception of Lockheed P2V and Westland Lynx are not included (could you imagine a 1/48 P-2 Neptune kit?). Also included in both sets are details of the recent rearming of the Brazilian F-5E fleet. In addition to the AIM-9 Sidewinders that are standard with the Tiger II, the Brazilians have integrated the Israeli Python III air-to-air missile as well. Wouldn't that look interesting in a contest…
