FCM
has released four new sets of decals that span a number of scales and
topics:
Set 144-15 1/144 Airliners
This
set provides another colorful British Airways aircraft, in this case an
Airbus A319/A320, commemorating the Chatham Historic Dockyard. A second
Airbus, an A310 from Air Plus is part of the set and features a colorful
scheme. Two Fokker F-27s round out this set, one from Brasil Central,
and the other of Eagle Canyon. As with previous FCM offerings, a set of
full-color profiles is included in the set to aid with painting and decal
placement.
Set
144-16 1/144 Airliners
This set starts with the Japan Airlines 737-400 sporting the "Flower
Jet" scheme. The next aircraft in the line-up is Boeing 757-200 of the
Royal Nepal Airlines. The final two aircraft are Airbuses, an A321 of
TransAsia Airways sporting a beautiful gold and dark blue dragon logo
on the tail, and an A320 of TAM. In this set, window decals are provided
for the Airbus on the main sheet, while separate window sets are provided
for the 737 and 757. A set of full-color profiles is included in the set
to aid with painting and decal placement.

Set
72-12 1/72 Brazilian Military Aviation
This set features an interesting variety of 'modern' aircraft. First
up are two Gloster Meteor F.8 aircraft, one of which is sporting an interesting
red sunburst on the nose and engine intakes from Pif-Paf Squadron, circa
1963, and the other with an all-silver scheme from Jamback Sqn, circa
1956. The next aircraft is a Northrop F-5E from Pampa Sqn, with special
markings commemorating that unit's 53rd Anniversary. Next is a Lockheed
P2V-5 Neptune from Orungan Sqn, sporting the standard maritime reconnaissance
scheme and colorful unit markings.
A Westland Lynx Mk.21 of AH-1 Sqn, circa 1999, in the standard Brazilian
Navy scheme is provided with its appropriate markings and stencils. Rounding
out the set is a Lockheed C-130H Hercules from Gordo Sqn, circa 1998,
retaining the standard USAF SEA paint scheme. A set of full-color profiles
is included in the set to aid with painting and decal placement.

Set
48-12 1/48 Brazilian Military Aviation
This
set is identical to the set above with the exception of Lockheed P2V and
Westland Lynx are not included (could you imagine a 1/48 P-2 Neptune kit?).
Also included in both sets are details of the recent rearming of the Brazilian
F-5E fleet. In addition to the AIM-9 Sidewinders that are standard with
the Tiger II, the Brazilians have integrated the Israeli Python III air-to-air
missile as well. Wouldn't that look interesting in a contest…
My sincere thanks to FCM for these review samples. You can purchase
