CMK 1/72 Resin Detail Sets

CMK 4047 VDM9-12067
German Propeller for the Fw190A/F/G

There's a lot of nice Fw190 kits out there in 1/48, from the Pro Modeler Fw190G to the Tamiya Fw190A and the various DML releases. Detail sets abound for these planes as well, and CMK has been releasing a slew of Fw190 sets in recent months. Their latest one adds a highly detailed propeller to the Fw190. This set includes three blades, three hub collars, a central hub, the middle spinner section, and the spinner tip. Doesn't seem like much until you really look closely at teh pieces. The hub collars have fine bolt head detailing on them, and the hub itself has detailing on the inside opening. The spinner cap is solid, and I'm not sure how accurate that is (it could be that there is a plate between the two sections), but overall this set has some subtle detailing that will really come out with some careful painting. If you've got some of the other CMK Fw190 sets, with this addition you could do one sharp-looking diorama.

CMK 4050 MG 17 7.92mm Machine Guns

The German MG 17 machine gun found its way into just about every military aircraft flown in the Luftwaffe, so this set could be used for a great number of kits. The set includes the mounting rails, two barrels, and two main gun sections. The other small parts in the set are for mounting the finished guns to the railings, with one piece holding the body and the other holding the barrel. Putting these two guns on the cowling of an Fw190, and with the rest of the CMK detail sets for the Fw190 you would have just about every detail accounted for.

CMK 4051 VDM9-11081A
German Propeller for the Bf109E

Like the Fw190 propeller above, this set has some subtle detailing that is only apparent upon close examination. The set includes three blades, three hub collars, and the central hub. No spinner is provided, though, which is a pity considering that the kit part is likely to be overscale in thickness compared to the fineness of these parts.

The blades look to be the right shape for a Bf109 and the detailing on the hub is outstanding. With this being a three-bladed prop, some care will be needed in getting everything aligned properly, but once together it should really add a lot to a Bf109E kit.
