APMA 2/2000

Australian Plastic Modellers Association

by Bob Pearson

Just arrived in the last few days is the latest release of the APMA journal. Dealing as it does with a mix of Australian and other subjects, it is a handy reference for modellers. Articles are supplemented by various profiles of the subject, sketches or plans - just what is needed if you want to build something in a different scheme to that which is provided in the box.

So what's in this issue?

  • A big article on the Gloster Gladiator I and II with marking schemes for various RAF aircraft as well as Irish, Greek, Lithuanian, Luftwaffe, Chinese, Finnish, SAAF, REAF and even the RAAF.

  • A look at Sea Hurricane variants with a profile for each

  • Part 2 of Star Killers.... plan views of the craft used by the Empire in Star Wars

  • Lysander Update, more profiles and some sketches making a nice companion to the Lysander article in issue 1/2000

  • Lockheed Silver Star in Canadian service

  • Fairey Barracuda

  • Macchi MB-326H of the Royal Australian Navy

  • RAAF Meteor
