This is the second of a new series of armor monographs published by Kagero of Lublin, Poland. The text is in both Polish and English and is divided into four sections. The first section is a narrative history of the Sturmgeschutz III, leading to the G model. Scattered through this section are numerous black & white photographs of the Stug III in action.

The second section is a walkaround of a Stug III Ausf G, and all 47 of the photographs are in color!

The third section is the modelers' area. This section discusses several of the Stug III kits on the market and how to detail/accurize them. The photography here is a mix of color and black & white, and are just about as helpful as the walkaround of the real thing in the previous chapter.

The final section is a collection of scrap drawings illustrating many of the more significant details found on the Stug III Ausf G, including production variations.

This is the first I've seen of this type of reference, and I am extremely impressed. The material is well researched and provides virtually everything you'd need to build an accurate Sturmgeschutz. In fact, Kagero goes one step further there - they also provide a photo-etched fret of some of those significant details not included in the current kits. Nice touch! This inspires me to dust off my own Stug III that I have stashed away for a rainy day!

I highly recommend this title to any armor builder interested in the subject. I'll be looking for a copy of their first title that covers the Panzer IV Ausf H/J. Both titles can be ordered directly from the author George Parada. My sincere thanks to George for this review sample!
