F-105D "Rolling Thunder" Weapons Set
For the Monogram Kit
The first set is their 'Rolling Thunder' release - a typical weapons
loadout for the Republic F-105D Thunderchief during the Rolling Thunder
campaign in 1967. The set provides the Monogram 1/48 F-105D with a centerline
tank, two Mk118 3000lb bombs w/fuses, and the weapons pylons w/sway braces
that lofted the Mk118s on the Thud.

Mi-24 Hind F Twin Cannon Gunship Conversion
For the Monogram Kit
The next set converts the Monogram 1/48 Mi-24 Hind D kit into a Hind
F. If you recall, Cobra had previously released a detail set that converted
the Hind D kit into a Hind E. The Hind F features a newer cockpit, updated
sensors, and most notably, a twin-barrel 23mm cannon along the starboard
side of the nose. The set still requires the Hind Exterior Detail Set
(sold separately), which contains the infrared exhaust suppressors, the
infrared jammer, chaff/flare launchers, and other important details to
round out the conversion.
Next, Cobra provides the final details necessary to accurize the Monogram
Hind kit - modern weapons. The Hind D carried the standard 16 or 32 shot
57mm rocket pods and the AT-2 Swatter anti-tank guided missile (ATGM).
The Hind E and F carried a variety of weapons on the inboard and center
pylons, though one of the signatures of the Hind E/F are the mounts on
the outboard pylons for the AT-6 Spiral ATGM. Until now, your only choices
after converting the Monogram kit were to either live with the inaccurate
weapons or leave the aircraft unarmed.

Russian Combat Weapons Set #3
In the third set in this series, Cobra provides your Mi-24 with the
same four mandatory AT-6 Spiral ATGMs for the outboard pylonds, two 30mm

Conclusions
You'll want to mix and match these weapons sets in order to get the
loadout you'll want for you next Hind E or Hind F project. Don't worry
about having spare Soviet weapons lying about - these weapons were also
very common on the Su-25 Frogfoot (another nice kit from Monogram), and
other Soviet attack aircraft. Some of these weapons would also look great
on the recently re-released Italeri KA-50 too!
