Squadron has released the second installment of their 'Aces' series. This title carries on with coverage of aces from quite a few nations and from several previously overlooked domains.

The coverage includes aces from World War I through the 1967 Arab-Israeli War. There are biographies and excerpted exploits of many different aces from the Soviet Union, Germany, Japan, Great Britain, France, Israel, and more.

And these aces were not all pilots. There is coverage of a German tank ace from World War II, as well as submarine aces from Germany and Japan from that period. Each biography is accompanied by a sketch of the individual and color plates are included to illustrate their mounts.

This book is a definite must-have for the historian.

Our sincere thanks to Squadron/Signal Publications for this review sample.
