Zlinek's 1/48 MiG-21PF Decals

By Chris Banyai-Riepl

When it comes to MiG-21s you can't have too many decals, especially considering how many incredibly colorful ones were out there. In fact, you could fill your shelves just with the fancy Indian ones. This decal sheet takes care of one of the thousand MiG-21 possibilities out there, with a Czech PF example. For the most part this is a fairly plain MiG, being finished in overall natural metal. The Czech roundels are on the wings and the vertical tail, with the black numbers on the nose. The interesting badges are found on the nose. Unfortunately all the text in the instruction sheet is in Czech, so I don't know what unit this plane is from. Still, it should make for an interesting example of the famous MiG-21, so dust off that Academy kit and try out that new Alclad II paint everyone has been talking about.
