Introduction

Some of the last photographs that were taken of Adolf Hitler show him reviewing - and rewarding - Hitler Youth teenagers, outside of the Hitler bunker in Berlin in 1945.

Jaguar's little resin vignette scene reproduces this scene.

The kit comes in a small, end-opening, box with a photo of the completed kit on it. This photo is a little misleading, as it shows a wall section...behind the figures....which is NOT in the kit. What you do get is a figure of Hitler and a Hitler Youth boy shaking hands and a base that looks like a pile of rubble.

Both figures are molded in a high quality, light tan, resin. There are no surface bubbles or seams to clean up on any of the parts. There are pour gates to remove however.

Parts are packaged in two cello bags.

The Hitler Youth figures is divided into six parts: peaked cap, head, arms, dagger (in scabbard), and his legs and torso...molded together. The Youth's right hand is molded with Hitler's right hand, for the handshake. He wears a four button blouse with a Hitler Youth armband on the left sleeve. His trousers are the type issued to panzer grenadiers late in the war. They feature the unique three button, scalloped, pocket flaps. He has a Knight's cross at his neck (just awarded??). His pants are gathered at the ankles with heavily ribbed socks and low shoes.

The figure of Hitler is divided into four pieces: his legs and torso, head, peaked officer's hat, and his right arm. His left arm is molded to his torso and held behind his back. He wears a double-breasted great coat with the collar turned up against the cold. The sculpter has really captured his haggard look at this point in the war. There is a eagle and swastika molded into his left arm sleeve.

The final part is the base, strewn with rubble, that looks like bricks and crushed rock.

Conclusion

This looks like it will make up into a great miniature diorama. However, the wall...shown on the box art...would have been a welcome addition in this kit. It really adds something to the scene and tells you that this scene was outside the bunker...in the courtyard.

Highly recommended to military figure buffs.
