This latest issue of Windsock comes packed with more great WWI material. In addition to the usual book and kit reviews, this issue includes photos from the 2003 US IPMS Nationals and photos of Des Jones' models, all of which are very nicely done. Another beautiful model presented here is a scratchbuilt 1/48 Gotha G.V built by Les Stonell. A photo collection of Omaka's Flying Circus shows some some repro aircraft currently flying today, including a picture showing five Fokker Dr. I triplanes flying in formation. Quite a sight to see, indeed.

Speaking of the Fokker triplane, another great addition to this issue is a comprehensive analysis of Paul Leaman's Fokker Dr. I book by Alex Imrie. Over five pages Imrie provides photo caption corrections and some notes about some regarding the text and research. Alex Imrie has his own book on the Fokker Dr.I, which is an excellent reference to own, and he draws upon his own knowledge in the comments on Leaman's book.

All in all, this is a great issue of Windsock. If you are interested in WWI aviation and have not subscribed to Windsock, this is a great issue to start with. For more information, visit their website. My thanks to Albatros Productions for the review sample.
