Cutting Edge Decals

The folks at Meteor Productions continue to turn out great aftermarket decals with some of the best instructions/color profiles on the market. This latest batch are no exception. Let's take a look:

CED48167 - Luftwaffe Over Czech Territory #4

This set provides markings for four aircraft:

  • Bf 109G-10, Yellow 7, JG 300, Praha/Kbely

  • Bf 109G-14, White 33, Ceske Budejovice

  • Bf 109G-10, White 4, KG(J) 54, Praha

  • Bf 109G-6(14?), Black 29, KG(J) 54, Pizen, May 1945

The set also includes a complete set of stencils and appropriate national markings.

CED48190 - Bf 109E "Emils" Part 3

MSRP: $8.99 - Recommended Kit: Tamiya 1/48 Bf 109E

This set provides markings for five aircraft:

  • Bf 109E-3, Yellow 8, 12/JG 1, Spring 1942

  • Bf 109E-3, Yellow 5, 9/JG 2, Signy-le-Petit, France, July 1942

  • Bf 109E-3, III/JG 51, Summer 1940 as flown by Oblt. Pichon-Kalau von Hofe

  • Bf 109E-3, 11/JG 1, Dusseldorf, 1942 as flown by Gefr. Martin Lacha

  • Bf 109E-1, III/JG 26, Summer 1940 as flown by Oblt. Werner Bartels

This set also includes a complete set of stencils and appropriate national markings.

CED48192 - Fw 190A Reich Defenders Part 1

This set has markings for four aircraft:

  • Fw 190A-5, Black 1, II/JG 1, May 1943 as flown by Hptm. Dietrich Wickop, Group Commander

  • Fw 190A-8, Red 1, 4/JG 54, Summer 1944 as flown by Lt. Hans Dortennman

  • Fw 190A-4, White 8, 1/JG 1, Deelen, Spring 1943

This set also includes a complete set of stencils and appropriate national markings.

CED48200 - Fw190A Reich Defenders Part 3

MSRP: $8.99 - Recommended Kit: Tamiya 1/48 Fw 190 w/CEC48078

This set has markings for four aircraft:

  • Fw 190A-8, Yellow 1, 15/JG 54 as flown by Hptm. Rudolf Klemm

  • Fw 190A-4, Gruppenstab I/JG 1, Deelen, 1943 as flown by Oblt. Rolf Strohal

  • Fw 190A-4, Black 0, II/JG 1 as flown by Oblt. Hans Mohr

  • Fw 190A-6, Black 3, 5/JG 1, 1943 as flown by Lt. Fritz Wegner

This set also includes a complete set of stencils and appropriate national markings.

All decal sets are in perfect register and the white areas appear to be opaque (background colors will not show through). I do hope that Cutting Edge will release some of these Bf 109E and Fw 190A sets in 1/32 scale as well!
