Decales de Guido 1/144 Delta DC-8, Delivery Scheme

Reviewed by Chris Banyai-Riepl

This latest set from down south is designed for the Revell kit, but could probably fit the In Formation resin kit as well.  I’ve always liked this early Delta livery, and this decal set will look very nice on the DC-8.  The set includes full fuselage stripes and titles, tail markings, and engine logos.  In addition to this, the ‘Westward Ho!’ title worn on the inaugural flight is also provided.  Registrations are provided for N801E, with extra numbers to allow for some variation.  In addition to the livery decals, the sheet includes a set of window decals and door outlines.

This set, like the rest of Decales de Guido decals, are printed on an Alps printer, which means you will have to trim away much of the clear film.  The registration is excellent, though, and color saturation is very good.  If you have a spare Revell DC-8 sitting in your closet, this might just be the incentive you need to dig it out and build it.
