White Ensign Models VVS WWII Colourcoats

By Michael Benolkin

One of the lastest releases of colors in the White Ensign Models Colourcoats series is this set recreating many of the colors used by the Soviet Air Force during WW2.

If I understand the process correctly, these colors were recreated from paint chips that were acquired during the research that led to the recent book "Soviet Air Force Fighter Colours 1941-1945" by Erik Pilawskii and illustrated by our own Chris Banyai-Riepl. If you look at the colors on the top of these tins, you're looking at quite a few colors that haven't been available from any manufacturer prior to this.

The sixteen colors in this series include:

  • ACS01 - AII Blue

  • ACS02 - AMT7 Blue

  • ACS03 - AII Green

  • ACS04 - AII/AMT Black

  • ACS05 - WUP Interior Primer

  • ACS06 - IMUP Metal Primer

  • ACS07 - ALG-5 Metal Primer

  • ACS08 - AMT-4 Olive-Green

  • ACS09 - AMT-1 Light Gray

  • ACS10 - AMT-1 Dark Gray

  • ACS11 - AMT-11 Blue-Gray

  • ACS12 - AMT-12 Dark Gray

  • ACS13 - Tractor Green

  • ACS14 - AE9 Gray

  • ACS15 - AII Light Brown

  • ACS16 - AII Dark Brown

If you want to paint your Accurate Miniatures Il-2 Sturmovik or Gavia Lavochkin in authentic VVS colors, then you'll want to pay White Ensign Models' website soon!
