Figures Review

The figure set consists of 1 sprue, molded in white plastic, containing 33 parts, to construct 4 full figures with field gear and personal weapons. A single page, 2-sided instruction sheet is included, which utilizes a parts map to identify the numbered parts. Paint color suggestions are called out using the Testor's Model Master paint names and numbers. These are also identified on the box in color. Molding quality and detail is quite acceptable, with no flash or shrinkage apparent on my sample. Detail crispness is a little softer on the weapons than that found on the figures themselves. All items look well proportioned for the scale.

Conclusion

This is a well thought out, timely subject, in a largely neglected area. The figures would lend themselves to a wide variety of conversion possibilities, and would look good with many modern Soviet military vehicles. I would definitely recommend this figure set to modelers interested in contemporary Soviet subjects. My thanks to ICM for graciously providing this sample for review .
