Figures Review

This kit consists of one sprue, molded in white plastic, containing 61 parts. Parts numbers are called out in exploded view diagrams on a 1 sheet, 2 sided instruction sheet. All the parts are quite cleanly molded, with very little flash in evidence. Aside from one small dimple on the inside of the knee on one of the kneeling figures, there are no molding flaws visible on my review example. Recommended paint colors from the Testor's Model Master line are called out by number on the instruction sheet and also shown in color on the box. The molding quality and level of detail on my example is quite nice, showing no flash and different facial features on each figure. The weapons and full field gear also exhibit crisp detail. One item of special interest that this reviewer had not previously seen is a 24 piece heavy machine gun with tripod, outfitted with a telescopic sight. This weapon was used for long range sniping and interdiction and is well rendered here. The other weapons and field gear included are equally nice. Another nice touch is the inclusion of optional headgear for each figure, allowing the modeler extra leeway to individualize the figures.

Conclusion

Overall, I find a well-made nicely detailed figure set covering a previously unexplored subject. Diorama and vignette builders will appreciate the new possibilities available to them. I would recommend this set for its level of detail, accessories, and subject matter. My thanks to ICM for providing this review sample.
