Cuban Air Force (Fuerza Aerea Revolucionaria) L-39C Albatros Combat Weapons Trainer
This is the Eduard L-39 kit built OOB, but with UB-16-57 rocket pods from the DML Soviet Aircraft Weapons kit and the decals from the old KP L-39 Albatros kit. The kit depicts an L-39C operated out of San Julian Air Base during 1992. Cuba used the L-39C as an advanced weapons trainer and as an emergency attack aircraft, but due to the withdraw of funding from the former USSR and Cuba's economic problems, it is believed that very few L-39s are currently operational.
