IRAQI AIR FORCE MIG-15UTI MIDGET TRAINER, 1980
This is the HobbyBoss MiG-15UTI kit completely OOB. The kit depicts a MiG-15UTI basic jet trainer just before the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq War. MiG-15UTIs were supplied by the USSR during the late 1950s and 1960s when Iraq turned to the USSR for weapons re-equipment and were used to train Iraqi pilots for flying the MiG-17, but remained in service until 1991 when the fleet was believed to have been destroyed by Allied Forces during Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
I didn't exactly put enough weight in the front, which is wy I have a stand under the rear of the kit, but it took second in 1/72 scale single engined jet OOB in the Nationals.
