This is the Revell F-101B Voodoo built OOB with decals from the old Matchbox F-101 kit, the Revell kit decals and ANG crests from an AIR decal set. The kit depicts an F-101B Voodoo of the North Dakota ANG, based at Hector Field in Fargo during 1975. The F-101B was actually designed as a stop-gap fighter to replace older aircraft in the air defence role until the arrival of the F-102 Delta Dart by adding a second cockpit, an air intercept radar and the replacement of the original J57-P-13s that was standard on the F-101A/C series with more powerful Pratt & Whitney J57-P-55 engines. The North Dakota ANG's "Happy Hooligans" operated the F-101B from 1969 until 1977.
