"The Longest Watch" diorama depicts a Boeing KC-135A and B-52H - both Revell kits - on alert for instant launch, in accordance with America's Single Integrated Operations Plan (SIOP) nuclear war plan. The scene depicts two aircraft of the 28th Bomb Wing, Ellsworth AFB, SD during the mid-1980's, late in the Cold War. Both aircraft models have minor details added and were painted with Testors ModelMaster enamels. The fire extinguishers at each wingtip are scratchbuilt. The HOBART ground power carts beside each aircraft were resin cast from a scratchbuilt master with details added.
