The first U-boats built after the end of the First World War, the Type II submarines were used initially as minelayers and hunting in the English Channel before being relegated to the training role in 1941. ICM's newly released kit is the first injection molded kit of a Type IIB in 1/144, and if it is anything like their Type XXIII that I built, it will be a good weekend project.
