MPM has sent out some test shots of their 1/32 Ki-27 and 1/72 F-82G. The Ki-27 photo shows a sprue test shot, seen below:
Following up their recent A5M Claude, MPM has come out with the IJAAF equivalent, the attractive Ki-27. This kit will contain four sprues of plastic parts, an injection-molded canopy, resin and photoetch details, and a decal sheet with three aircraft that took part in the Nomonhan conflict between the Soviet Union and Japan.
The 1/72 F-82G is another welcome release, as the only other option in this scale is the ancient Monogram kit. This kit will have four sprues of plastic parts, an injection-molded canopy, resin and photoetch details, and a decal sheet with three Korean War F-82s, including the aircraft that scored the first aerial victory over Korea.
The test build photos look good from here, and I particularly like the method of windscreen construction. That will really simplify construction and help eliminate difficult seams around the clear parts. Thanks to MPM for the preview information. Be sure to check your local hobby shop for these kits when they are released. |
