So it's actually Corsair II, but in Viet Nam, they referred to the A-7D as the Sluf - Short Little Ugly Fellow. The A-7s were around for a lot of years, serving both the USAF in active and reserve units as well as the Navy,
The Miniwing A-7D is a cleanly molded little kit in their usual yellow resin.

|
1) There are no visible bubbles in my first review of the parts. Some may appear during the painting process, but so far so good.
2) Parts are clean with little flash, nothing that can't be handled
3) Clean decal sheet featuring markings for 1 aircraft
4) 2 vacuform canopies are included
Neutral:
1) Lots of wing racks, but only 2 drop tanks are provided
2) So-so instruction sheet showing an exploded view of the model. Could be better
Minus:
1) Lots of molding vents on this one
2) Fuselage has excess resin on the trailing edge of the rudder, thru the middle of the wing cut out, below the nose intake, and below the jet exhaust.
3) The wing has excess resin all along the trailing edge
4) The cover picture shows bombs on all the wing racks - those are not included in the kit.
The excess resin for the molding vents are going to create extra work on this kit. Care will be needed in most places, but particularly along the trailing edges of the rudder and wings to prevent damaging the model. These issues are not insurmountable - they will just create extra work to resolve. All in all, looks like another typical Miniwing kit that should build up into a nice finished model.
Our thanks to Miniwing for the review kit.
