Brengun 1/72 RS Models Dewoitine D.520 Photoetch

Brengun 1/72 RS Models Dewoitine D.520 Photoetch

By Matt Bittner

Brengun is known for releasing items for models other companies won't touch. Prior to this set they released photoetch for the RS Models Avia B-534s as well as buckets, tools, chairs, etc. With this set for the RS Models 1/72 Dewoitine D.520 they also released photoetch sets for the Sword Ki-44 and Seafire L Mk.IIc. This is why modeler's need to purchase Brengun sets, to encourage them to keep releasing photoetch for the "not as popular" models.

This is an excellent set. In it you receive photoetch to replace the instrument panel (which includes a clear film for the instrument dials), rudder pedals and kick-plates. There are also photoetch pieces for the seat belts, seat supports, side-wall detail, gun sight (which also has clear film for its "glass") and rear bulkhead. For the exterior you receive pieces for the landing gear weels, antennas, replacement landing gear doors and items for the radiator.

While some might consider the sets "small", I feel the Brengun sets are perfect, providing just enough to take the model enough past "out of the box" stage to make it interesting.

Huge thanks to Brengun for sending this set for review.
