Kinetic's F-16D is a nice kit out-of-the-box. However, there is always room for more. That "more" in this case is Eduard's "full" self-adhesive and pre-colored photoetch set, #73389. There are complete instrument panels to be folded up and layered together. After removing the molded-in detail on the kit's cockpit tub, side consoles, you add the replacement photoetch to it. There are new parts to add to the cockpit side walls. There are pieces to replace detail in the nose landing gear well; parts for the main landing gear well. There is a replacement antenna. Once you cut off the speed brakes from the rear there are parts to add to the interior of those kit parts so you can display the speed brakes open. There is a new cockpit sill and replacement HUD and instrument coaming. There are a lot of additions to the ejection seats – belts, ejection handles, canopy "breakers" and side handles. For the landing gear there are parts to add, as well as new pieces for the nose landing gear door. You are given inserts and "feathers" for the exhaust. There are panels to add to the fuselage. There are also pieces to add to the weapon pylons.

A pretty comprehensive set to add lots of detail to the Kinetic 1/72 F-16D.

Our thanks to Eduard for allowing us to review this set.
