By Matt Bittner
HR Model's latest releases are these two sets of decals for the KP 1/72 Letov S-328. The air force covered is Slovakia, from the periods 1939-1941.
The first sheet, HRD 7218, has markings for three aircraft:
- S-328 with only the Slovak roundels (which was a red double-cross on a blue, white-outlined circle)
- S-328 with the Slovak roundels and a German cross next to the roundels on the wings, and on the fuselage sides
- S-328 with the Slovak roundels and a German cross only on the fuselage sides, with a yellow cowl
Each aircraft had khaki uppers and aluminum undersides.
The second sheet, HRD 7219, has markings for four aircraft:
- S-328, 1st Squadron, "A-3"
- S-328, 2nd Squadron, pilot Flight Sergeant Vladimir Krisko, Eastern Front, Summer 1941
- S-328, 3rd Squadron, "C-4"
- S-328, Training Squadron, "S-27"
The primary colors of these aircraft consists of Khaki uppers, aluminum undersides with yellow wing-tips, while S-27 sports yellow ailerons, cowl, horizontal tail pieces and fin/rudder. These four machines had the "newer" Slovak marking which consisted of a white-outlined blue cross, with a red circle right in the middle.
All decals are nicely printed, in register and will look great once applied.
My thanks to HR Model for sending these to us to review.
