S.B.S. Model is a relatively new company, especially to me, that specializes in aftermarket pieces for kits. The first sets they sent for review are first rate and highly detailed. This set is for the Academy 1/72 A-37 Dragonfly, and consists of five pieces of resin, a sheet of clear film (which is for the instrument panel) and a photoetch fret consisting of 30 parts.  The resin pieces are two ejection seats; the cockpit tub; the start of the instrument panel (to which is added photoetch and the clear film) and the front of the cockpit where the instrument panel resides.  The photoetch set consists of three parts for the instrument panel (the instrument panel is a "sandwich affair" that starts with the resin, to which is added the "main" clear film piece, to which is added the "main" photoetch instrument panel piece, and then is finished with two more clear film pieces and photoetch added on top of the "main" instrument panel); cockpit sides, giving the interior the usual "quilted look"; parts for the nose gear doors; pieces to add to the canopy and other plastic pieces that are added to the canopy; and finally, intake and exhaust covers (which is great because the kit lacks anything that resembles an engine at either end).

Conclusion

All in all this is an awesome set for the Academy A-37, one that will set your model apart from all the others.  One thing the instructions don't mention, and I'm including it as an "FYI".  You're to use the kit-supplied control columns as there are no resin replacements.  This is not a problem at all since the kit ones are decent enough, just something that should be pointed out.

My thanks to S.B.S. Model for the review set.
