Starfighter Decals 1/72 Boeing P-26A Pt. 1

By Matt Bittner

Starfighter Decals continues their releases for venerable and neglected kits by releasing this first set of decals - 72-117 - for the P-26A.  The following machines are covered:

  1. P-26A, 33-123, 94th Pursuit Squadron (PS), Selfridge Field, MI, both in Light Blue and in Olive Drab
  2. P-26A, unknown serial, 94th PS, Selfridge Field, MI, in Light Blue
  3. P-26A, unknown serial, 17th PS, Selfridge Field, MI, in both Olive Drab and Light Blue
  4. P-26A, unknown serial, 17th PS, Nichols Field, Phillipines, 1941 with a Light Blue fuselage and white cowl

As with all their 1/72 decals, these are expertly printed by Cartograf, in register and with brilliant colors.  Only two sets of stars and rudder stripes are included, so if wanting to build all four, you'll need to track down extra stars and stripes.

I'm ecstatic that Starfighter is catering to these older - and still available - kits.  Now if only we could get a resin cockpit from them, for the Revell P-26A, in lines with their other cockpit releases for the Monogram biplanes.

Huge thanks to Starfighter Decals for the review decals.
