The last set of 1/72 P-26A decals from Starfighter Decals - set 72-119 - again for the Revell kit (although they might work with the Pavla kit, but are specifically designed for the Revell) is probably the ultimate set of decals for this kit. Sure, they're only for the 17th Pursuit Group (PG), but they have to be the most colorful P-26As ever painted. The following machines are covered:
Although the scans are lo-res, I hope you can see just how colorful and awesome this set of decals are. My only concern is you have to paint the front of the engine "cover", depending on the machine. Granted, white is white, but it might be a little difficult to match the red (for 33-47) and blue (for 33-62). Graned, it will be difficult to see the cover aside from a head-on shot, so maybe by the time the model is finished it might not be such a bad thing. Again, decals in register and beautiful. One set I'm looking forward to using. If I had to choose only one of the three sets, then 72-119 would be it. Sure it costs more, but with the amount of decal material on the sheet and how colorful they are, it's more than worth the money. My thanks to Starfighter Decals for this beautiful review set of decals. |
