Gas Producer Vehicles in World War II, An Overview Author: John Fuller Ryan Publisher: Schiffer ISBN: 978-0-7643-3240-1 Binding: Hardbound Pages: 112
Although titled as an overview, this book provides very good detail on the producer gas vehicles used extensively in Germany and France in WW II. It includes a short but concise history of wood burning internal combustion engine development. The real treasure is the pictures themselves, close to 100 period pictures of vehicles converted to wood burners, plus period literature, licenses, and manuals.
If you have an interest in odd vehicles, or want something different for a conversion project, this book provides the details. If you are looking for something completely different for your next armor build, there are plenty of ideas here. There are several future projects developing in my mind after reading this book. It is also a perfect compliment to the Italeri Med 3 ton Truck Coal Engine kit # 6457. Great information for the super detailers among you. This book is available from the publisher, Schiffer Books.
