"Touchdown"
Seconds before touchdown, the LSO waves this F4U in for a landing at Geiger Field, Spokane.

Here it is December already. The holiday season is upon us, and it promises to be a potentially fruitful season for modelers. Such planes as the He-219 and Il-2 and SB2C are finally being molded well. I hope to have coverage of all of these, and this month we start with an excellent article on the SB2C by Thomas Cleaver. The beautiful J-35 in 1/72nd scale is also talked about. The Fiat CR.42 was a colorful plane in the Hungarian Air Force. The Camouflage and Markings section shows a few from the early years. Rounding out this month in the History section is an interesting overview of the big wing RB-57 Canberra and some of the missions they flew.

Thank you for visiting Aviation What-Not! Be sure to come back, and tell all your friends about us, too. If you would like to write an article for Aviation What-Not, I would love to put it up. Email it to me and we'll fit it in.
