Armory 1/144 F-111 Wheels

By Matt Bittner

Overview

While the world still waits for a new-tool, injected 1/144 F-111 the old Arii kit still exists in one form or another (I've found a few Revell and AMT/Ertl boxings through the years). Couple the kit with the numerous conversions and corrections from both OzMods and RetroWings and you can have a viable model on the shelf. Or, settle for the newly released, 3D printed kit from Triple Nuts and easily build one without performing the necessary corrections or conversions. Add to the list of aftermarket these wheels from Armory.

The Wheels

Armory supplies two 1/144 wheel releases for a 1/144 F-111, both for the F-111A/B/C/D and another set for the F-111E/F. Both sets come with "weighted" tires (i.e. "bulged") and both sets are very nicely molded.

"Universal" means the wheels aren't drilled to a specific kit so you'll need to drill the hole out to meet the model's landing gear "axle".

Conclusion

Armory's aftermarket wheels are top-notch and these will definitely look great on any 1/144 F-111. Buy them in confidence.

My thanks to Armory for supplying these sets to review.
