Begemot 1/48 VVS P-40 Decals

By Jacob Russell

Begemot has introduced a new 1/48th scale Soviet Curtiss P-40 decal sheet. It includes marking options for 41 different planes. The variants include the Tomahawk Mk.IIA and IIB, P-40C, P-40E, P-40K, P-40N, etc. The markings are spread across 2 high quality sheets. The colors are bright and bold, the printing is crisp and everything is in register.

The instructions include color profiles for all 41 options and a complete stencil application guide. Some of the profiles include the upper surface for the planes with 2 color camouflage and this will come in handy.

I'm a fan of the Curtiss P-40. It was not the most graceful place but it served with distinction in most theatres of the Second World War and it's nice to see decals devoted to so many colorful Soviet examples. If your eyesight is failing or you simply prefer larger models you can't go wrong with Begemot's new decals. I recommend them and I thank Begemot for the review samples.
