Eduard 1/72 Eduard Bf-110G-4 Masks
By Matt Bittner
When Eduard releases a kit as a "Weekend Edition", they put just the plastic and decals into the box. The thought it with just the plastic involved, a kit should be able to be assembled in a weekend. With some of their other kits possibly; with the 1/72 Bf-110 series of kits, unless you do nothing but work on the kit all weekend, then probably not. This isn't because it's a bad kit: in fact, it's a really nice kit with excellent fit and detail. It's primarily because there are so many parts in the box. I suppose it could be assembled in a weekend but as I already mentioned, you'll probably be doing nothing but working on the kit.
What I can't understand, though, is why Eduard doesn't include their masks even in the Weekend kits. Sure, it may drive the cost up a little, but imagine the time saved by using their masks. Time that might actually make this a weekend build. Trying to mask all that clear on your own is going to take quite some time and the Eduard masks definitely cut down on the time spent.
Be that as it may, these masks (#CX378) not only can be used on all the clear pieces within the box, but also on the wheels and/or tires. I'm a huge proponent of Eduard's masks and these are definitely worth the money spent.
My thanks to Eduard for sending this set of masks to review.
