Eduard Brassin 1/72 Spitfire Mk.IX Cockpit
By Jacob Russell
Eduard's new Brassin cockpit is for their Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX kit. It consists of 49 parts, 25 of them resin, and 23 photo-etched parts on a pre-painted fret. There is also an acetate sheet containing gun sight lenses.
Among the PE parts you get upgrades like a seat harness, a new instrument panel, throttle quadrant, head rest armor, seat armor, sidewall consoles, etc.
Eduard's Spitfire Mk.IX has a superb cockpit, but the Brassin resin parts replace all of them. You have everything that you need to build a contest winning model.
There are many Spitfire Mk.IX kits on the market, from Hasegawa, AZ Models, etc., but Eduard's eclipses them all. It is accurate and superbly detailed right out of the box, and you have your choice of Eduard's numerous photo-etched and Brassin resin detail sets to bring out the best of it.
I recommend this set and I would like to thank Eduard for the review sample.
