Steelwork 1/72 Flat Rigging Photoetch

By Matt Bittner

Overview

Rigging after WWI - and some aircraft during the war - ended up more streamlined than what is usually thought. Some of that is because the cables were wrapped, giving either a flat, or streamlined appearance.

The Resin

The Steelwork 1/72 Flat Rigging Photoetch consists of a fret of photoetch rigging of four different lengths with a total of twenty pieces of "rigging". Since this is a generic set, you'll need to measure the distance where the rigging would sit on your model and adjust the photoetch rigging accordingly.

Have patience and you will be rewarded with a rigged model looking prototypical.

I definitely send thanks to Steelwork for the rigging sample. You can find the rigging on their shop page.
