The Bristol Blenheim Airframe Album No. 5
By Matt Bittner
Author: Richard A. Franks

Binding: Softcover
Pages: 130
The Bristol Blenheim was designed first as a bomber then adapted to a fighter-role, especially as a night-fighter. While it was faster than most biplanes flying at the time, it would prove slow against the latest monoplane fighters coming out of Germany.
This latest release from Valiant Wings was timely appearing not long after Airfix released their superlative 1/72 kit, now considered the best Blenheim in the scale. This book will help the construction of the Airfix – and any other – kit with excellent detail chapters, camouflage notes and especially color information countries that flew her.
The book is broken up into the following chapters:
- Technical Description
- Evolution - Prototype, Production and Projected Variants
- Camouflage & Markings
- Production
There are also the following Appendices:
- Kit List
- Accessory List
- Decal List
- Bibliography
If you have any interest at all in the Bristol Blenheim then you're doing yourself a disservice by not picking up this book. Aside from maybe a book dedicated to nothing but schemes, you really don't need any other reference for the aircraft type.
Huge thanks to Valiant Wings Publishing for sending this to review.
