UMM-USA Plierpunch "Round"
By Matt Bittner
Have you ever had the need to constantly and consistently punch out holes in parts of your model? For example, if you're working on enhancing a kit-supplied instrument panel, have you ever wanted a tool that could help you punch out consistent instrument bezels every time? Now that tool exists.
The UMM-USA Plierpunch "round" will help you create consistent holes in whatever you want to make holes in. Especially if those holes need beveled edges. There are five differnet holes, ranging from 0.8 mm (.032") up to 2.0mm (.080"). Unless you build in 1/144, you should find a punch to fit your needs.
One thing I wanted to try is to see if the "holes" being punched out could be used; they can't, unless you're looking for mis-shapen plastic. I was hoping it would punch a clean "hole", but given the actual punch is "beveled", it makes sense that it doesn't create a clean hole. Just something I wanted to try.
So, if you're looking for a tool that will give the same, consistent, beveled holes - very easily - the you'll want to pick up UMM-USA's Plierpunch.
My thanks to UMM-USA for sending this tool it to review.
