Warriors 1/35 Figures

By Michael Benolkin

‘Warriors’ is one of the product lines that comes from the creative minds of VLS. They’ve produced a wide range of 1/35 resin military figures that feature great detail and simple construction. This month, we preview four of the many figure sets that Warriors has just released. The photos of each of the figure sets show both sides of each part with a red dividing line dividing the two sides. Click on the photo to see an enlarged view.

Hit The Beach Part 6

WA35480

MSRP $23.95 USD

This set is the sixth set in the series depicting US Marines in the South Pacific fighting their way ashore. The set contains two figures, one kneeling and the other lying down wounded. A closer look at the parts reveal just how beautifully these figures are crafted, and the details have enough relief in them to make painting a snap.

SS Elite Troops, Budapest

WA35481

MSRP $23.95 USD

One of the fascinations that modelers have with German WW2 subjects is the variety color. Unlike allied forces, a wide range of camouflage schemes that have appeared on German combat vehicles and is a similar manner, the variations in German uniforms due to the wide range of geographic regions of operations and associated weather. These two figures are excellent examples of that variety.

SS Motorcycle Crew in Winter Dress

WA35482

MSRP $23.95 USD

Here are two more interesting variations in German uniforms with lined leather to keep the motorcycle troops warm. You can apply the camouflage pattern of choice to these figures to match up your own diorama needs.

US Paratrooper with Machine Gun

WA35484

MSRP $12.95 USD

The last figure in this installment is a beautiful rendition of a walking airborne infantryman toting a machine gun over one shoulder and an ammo can.

German Head Set #53

WA35479

MSRP $8.95 USD

Finally, Warriors produced a wide variety of heads that you can use to improve the look of your current kit figures or to add variety to many of the figures offered by Warriors. Each set has six heads with different facial expressions. In this set, they all have the same style of helmet with exterior straps. Since it is all but impossible to know in advance which 'head sets' you would need for a given project, you can either obtain a copy of VLS' color catalog and/or cruise through their extensive website.

You can purchase these and any of the Warrior line from your local hobby retailer or directly from VLS' website at www.modelmecca.com. They have some of the fastest mail order delivery in this industry - give them a try!

My sincere thanks to VLS for these review samples!
