Internet Modeler Editorial
I'm slated to write this month's editorial. I thought I had it all worked
out on what I would type about, but life happens and the brain just doesn't
want to cooperate. So, forgive my rambling.
For one thing, I can't believe it's been over two years since permanently
joining the staff. I've had some great experiences - the trip Chris and
I took was the best - and some "less than best" - dealing with
last-minute articles coming in. But I've definitely had fun and wouldn't
trade it. In addition, it's spread my web programming chops and have come
up with (what I think) are a few good pieces of software for the site
(along with incorporating other's work - which makes me a true software
engineer).
In the two years since I've joined, the ranks of IM reviewers have swelled.
Sure, there are still models waiting in the IM "vaults" to be
built (not everyone is going to have tastes for everything), but overall
I think we do a great job having models sent for review, actually built.
Even so, you can never have enough so if anyone is interested in becoming
a reviewer, contact one of the editors (as found on the Contacts
page) and we'll see what we can do.
All in all I personally think Internet Modeler is the best modeling
'zine in any format - but I'm also biased. Yes, we're not perfect - and
no one can claim to be - but we have a lot of diversity amongst our ranks
and practically any genre that is released as a model will more than likely
be built. And be built well and to a generally high quality.
