Eduard 1/72 MiG-15 Photo Etch

This new set is engineered to fit Airfix's new MiG-15 kit. It consists of two frets, one of which is pre-painted, containing 46 parts. The pre-painted fret includes a number of parts destined for the cockpit. You get a new instrument panel, side consoles and seatbelts, and some other detail bits. A number of the pieces are aimed at enhancing the ejection seat and the use of these parts requires the removal of 2 parts of the kit seat. The set also includes new landing gear doors and a cover for the jet exhaust which solves the problem of that shallow exhaust. There is a new gunsight and brake lines too but the latter are too one dimensional to merit serious consideration.
This set will add some useful detail to the Airfix kit. It will be relatively easy to use if you already have some experience with photo-etched parts, and it is highly recommended. I would like to thank Eduard for the review sample.
