Brengun 1/144 Tupolev Tu-141 Strizh

By Matt Bittner

Overview

The Tupolev Tu-141 Strizh ("Swift") was a Cold War, Soviet reconnaissance drone used in the 1970s and 1980s. Recently Ukraine has turned it into an armed drone. You can read more about the drone on its Wikipedia page.

The Kit

The Brengun 1/144 Tupolev Tu-141 Strizh consists of nine pieces of gray resin and a photoetch fret of 16 pieces. Decals are for either a Soviet-era vehicle or one in Ukrainian markings. Both are finished in a light gray.

Construction will go quickly. Glue the two fuselage halves together then starting adding all the rest: landing gear, gear doors, fins, rudder, etc, and then you're ready for painting.

Conclusion

This won't be a difficult kit to assemble. What you may want to do, though, is attach it to some type of base because I suspect the landing gear will be fragile. Either way, you'll have a Tu-141 on your shelf of finished models quickly.

I definitely thank Brengun for sending this review sample.
