Tamiya 1/48 A-1 Skyraider
By Bill Woodier

Add-ons:
Meteor Productions Yankee extraction seat resin cockpit (made for the Monogram kit but fits Tamiya pretty well). I added plastic and etched metal antenna as well to make the AF version. The 20mm cannons were replaced with thin tubing. Weapons consisted of kit rocket pods, KMC mini-guns, and the

nose pieces from the KMC CBU dispensers with aluminum dispenser tubes (and other fiddley-bit details). Paint is faded Floquil SEA camo with black underside. Underside was first painted in light gray, then sprayed black with areas of not complete coverage and bits of overspray here and there (just like the original). Base is pine plaque in hardwood picture frame. Concrete area is the box top painted a concrete color with lines etched with a knife and "tarred" with dark gray acrylic paint applied with a syringe. Aluminum temp runway planks are strips of Evergreen plastic painted gray and weathered with aluminum. When done, the entire base got a wash of that familiar orange-red "dirt" so prevalent at NKP.

Hasegawa 1/72 Spitfire VIII
By Chris Banyai-Riepl

Built straight out of the box, and finished with Aeromaster decals. The camouflage is dark green and 'mixed green', for which I took a guess at, over medium gray.

1/700 Luftwaffe Diorama
By Jim Gordon

This 1/700 microdiorama features the white metal Pit Road Me 323D Gigant which I converted to the Waffentragger gunship variant. The Heinkel 111Z is the result of blending together 2 Skywave He111's and a piece of sheet styrene. The Skywave Junkers 52 is a detailed out of the box model. The figures are Gold Metal Models photoetch, and the AFV is also from the Pit Road package. The finished product takes up a whopping 3"X 3".
