Eduard 1/72 Arma Hobby FM-1 Photoetch

By Matt Bittner

Overview

The 1/72 modeling world was quite stoked when Arma first released their FM-2. Especially for those who hoped they would continue the line and release the rest of the Wildcat series. And they did, as the next release was the F4F-4. Sure, Arma includes everything you need in the box, but if you picked up their "overtrees" (which is just the kit's plastic parts) then you might want something else to add to your kit. And that's where Eduard comes in.

The Photoetch

A few months ago, Eduard released a photoetch set for the Arma Hobby F4F-4. They just re-stamped and re-labeled this as a set for the Arma Hobby FM-1 so I refer the reader to that article to get a sense of what's included in this more complete photoetch set (which includes both the Zoom cockpit photoetch as well as a separate, more updated photoetch fret).

My thanks to Eduard for sending this set to review. Now to start working on the Arma Hobby FM-1 and all the modifications that entails.
