RetroWings 1/144 Revell F-104 Cockpit

By Matt Bittner

RetroWings 1/144 Revell F-104 Cockpit

Most injected-molded cockpits in 1/144 are barren, one would think for good reason and that's due to the size. However, with resin you can really bring out some fantastic detail from the molds.

This is definitely the case with this release from RetroWings for the Revell 1/144 F-104. This set is for the single-seater, and it contains a cockpit tub, a control column, an ejection seat and an instrument panel. All resin pieces are direct replacements for the kit-supplied cockpit parts, so there is no surgery needed and construction should proceed quickly.

However, once this cockpit set is added to the Revell kit, your kit will really look great with all this detail in it. In fact, I would actually go one step further and squash-cast a replacement canopy, that way you can see all the great detail much better.

A definite "thank you" to RetrokiT for supplying this review sample.
