Starfighter Decals 1/72 Curtiss P-6E Part 2

Starfighter Decals 1/72 Curtiss P-6E Part 2

By Matt Bittner

Starfighter releases another decal sheet for the Monogram/Accurate Miniatures (now out of production) 1/72 Curtiss P-6E. This sheet contains markings for five aircraft:

  • P-6E, 32-219 of the 33rd PS finished with a Light Blue fuselage
  • P-6E, 32-228 of the 33rd PS also finished with a Light Blue fuselage
  • P-6E based at March Field, CA, 1936
  • P-6E, 32-277 of the 94th PS, 1934
  • P-6E, 32-267 of the 94th PS, 1934

These last three machines were finished with Olive Drab fuselages. As with all their new 1/72 released, decals are sharp, the colors are fantastic and all are in register. I really enjoy all the Starfighter 'tweener decals!

Plenty of thanks to Starfighter for the review set. I would suspect these decals would also work on the Olimp kit, which might be easier to find than the Monogram/Accurate Miniatures one. Oh, and don't forget about Starfighter's resin cockpit set for the P-6E as well.
