Marabu Design 1/144 Curtiss P-36A/C Photoetch

Marabu Design 1/144 Curtiss P-36A/C Photoetch

By Matt Bittner

Mark I released their 1/144 Curtiss Hawk 75s/P-36s some time ago, and now that I have the itch to build a couple of Dutch birds, I decided to pick up this photoetch set from Marabu Design for that kit. The photoetch fret comes with enough parts for two kits, since two were released per-box. Items that Marabu Design has covered are: replacement rudder pedals; an instrument panel face; an addition to the cockpit floor; a fold-up control stick; replacement fold-up seat with seat belts; the backing for the seat; additional items for both cockpit sidewalls; a photoetch frame for the main, sliding canopy (to which you apply your own film to, which is not provided); a door for the port side radio hatch if you want to display it open (but nothing for inside the fuselage, that's up to you); additions to the main landing gear well including support struts for the main landing gear; replacement main gear doors and tail-wheel doors; replacement pitot tubes (both type, but they're flat); and a bead-and-gun-sight for the top of the forward fuselage. All in all plenty of detail to add to your Mark I 1/144 Curtiss Hawk 75/P-36s.
