Kaleido ColorWorks Paints

Since living in the European Union I'm now exposed to other sources and brands than I would be if I still lived in the USofA. I don't remember how or why, but I stumbled upon Gaahleri and was looking around at what they offered. What intrigued me most was the line of Kaleido ColorWorks paints, especially the Metal Colors to see how they compared with other Acrylic metallic paints I have been using for some time, namely Vallejo Metal Color. Both are airbrushable straight from the bottle which definitely pleases me most. Plus I was curious about the color density as well as the pigment "size".

Thankfully, Gaahleri sent me not only the entire Metal Colors Set (consisting of 14 bottles: 12 metallic shades plus a thinner and brush/airbrush cleaner) but also the Black and Gray primer, Gloss and Flat Varnishes as well as their set of 10 Acrylic Metallic Colors Markers. The paints in the airbrush line consists of Zirconium Black, Stainless Steel, Copper, Gun Metal, Silver, Scorched Gold, Tungsten Steel, Aluminum, Champagne Gold, Titanium Alloy, Red Copper and Flash Gold, plus the Airbrush Thinner and Airbrush Cleaner. Colors in their markers consists of Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Dark Steel, Dark Iron, Gun Metal, Zirconium Black, Red Copper, Dark Gold, Scorched Gold and Flashy Gold. Each bottle of paint has already a mixing ball inside.

I have had a chance to use each specific "piece": both of their primers, one of the airbrushable Metal Colors, one of the Metallic Colors Markers and their gloss varnish. Please refer to my MiG-15 UTI article on how everything behaved, coming in the near future. I'm very pleased with them overall and they will be my "go-to" paint, especially the Metal Colors line.
