Brengun 1/144 Platz/Eduard P-51D Aftermarket

By Matt Bittner

Overview

The Platz (later re-released by Eduard) 1/144 P-51D is considered the best in-scale. It's truly a fine kit and well worth purchasing and building. Unfortunately it appears Eduard has stopped re-releasing any 1/144 kit so you're better off trying to track down the Platz kit.

The Aftermarket

Since there are two kits in a box/package - regardless of whom released the kit - Brengun provides two of everything for each kit. There are resin control sticks, flaps and a gun sight. Photoetch covers the rest: seat belts; detail to add to the cockpit sides and floor; instrument panel; and landing gear wheel wells.

Couple this set with Brengun's vaccuum-formed canopies and you'll have a well detailed Mustang on your shelf.

My thanks to Brengun for this review set.
